To new beginnings!
Wow; I just realized the date as I write in my journal today after an evening with God. Eight years ago today, He saved me and took my family back home to be with Him. 8 - New Beginnings - I am ready, Lord!
I was walking through an unknown home checking all the rooms for people while church service went on next door…I was standing in the kitchen when one of them came out to me and asked the most profound thing ever:
“Because of the detriment experience you went through you either had to believe in God or not. You chose to believe. But how are you going to get someone like me to believe?”
I was quick to listen and slow to speak and I responded with, “I understand, you’re completely right. So many people in today’s world are looking for those extravagant moments like miracles, signs, and wonders in order to believe.”
But in all actuality of it all; God moves in the still, small voice. When you are allowing the loudness of the world to constantly distract you from recognizing/hearing/seeing the stillness of God—you’re always going to miss the mark, the miracle, the sign, the wonder.
Each of these instances happen on an individual basis—so if you don’t stop the worldview to see God operating out of time—you’ll miss Him every time. Stop focusing on the things around you and start seeing God all around you—but in order for that to happen—you need to be but STILL.
If you truly look at all that He had done throughout the Bible—you’ll see it was extraordinary to one but it was in the stillness of Him.
Tuning yourself into the Spirit and not the flesh—and I get it—it’s hard to do sometimes but miracles can still happen in an instant if you just give up time in this world and tap into time with Him—where there is no such thing.
God, You are the constant calm in the storm of this world.

“So He said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD was passing by, and a great and powerful wind was tearing out the mountains and breaking the rocks in pieces before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind, [there was] an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
After the earthquake, [there was] a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire, [there was] the sound of a gentle blowing.
When Elijah heard the sound, he wrapped his face in his mantle (cloak) and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
