The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s annual International Roadcheck inspection blitz is almost here — and this year’s focus areas are:

✔️ Cargo Securement

✔️ ELD Tampering & Falsification

During this 72-hour enforcement event, inspectors across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will conduct roadside inspections on commercial motor vehicles and drivers.

Common areas inspectors will review include:

• Brakes

• Tires & wheels

• Lighting

• Suspension

• Coupling devices

• Cargo securement

• Driver qualification documents

• Hours-of-service records & ELD accuracy

Drivers should also be prepared to:

✅ Transmit ELD records upon request

✅ Provide supporting documents quickly

✅ Verify exemptions if utilizing them

✅ Ensure medical cards & CDL information are current

Now is the time to:

🔹 Review DVIRs

🔹 Conduct pre-trip inspections

🔹 Audit driver files & ELD logs

🔹 Check cargo securement equipment

🔹 Correct maintenance issues before they become violations

A failed inspection can lead to 𝙤𝙪𝙩-𝙤𝙛-𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 violations, costly downtime, CSA score impacts, and delivery delays.
